Daily Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive in Florence

Arrive in Florence and transfer privately to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy a short orientation
walk to familiarise yourself with the historic centre. This evening, sit down to a relaxed
welcome dinner at a local restaurant, a simple introduction to Tuscan cuisine and the pace of
the journey ahead.

Day 2 – Florence at Leisure

After breakfast, explore Florence with a local guide on a walking tour that focuses on
everyday life as well as key historical sites. Visit quieter neighbourhoods, artisan areas and
local markets that give insight into how the city functions beyond its major landmarks. The
afternoon is free to continue exploring independently or relax at your own pace.

Day 3 – Florence to Siena via the Countryside
Depart Florence and travel south through the Tuscan countryside. Along the way, stop at a
countryside estate or winery for a casual visit and tasting. Continue on to Siena, where a
guided walk introduces the city’s medieval layout, main squares and contrasting
neighbourhoods. Evening at leisure.

Day 4 – Siena and Surroundings
Spend the morning exploring Siena further, either independently or with an optional in-depth
guided tour focusing on the Palio traditions and local history. The afternoon is free, with the
option to enjoy a meal or short excursion into the surrounding countryside.

Day 5 – Siena to Val d’Orcia
Travel south from Siena into Val d’Orcia, where the landscape opens into rolling farmland and
vineyards. Stop in San Quirico d’Orcia for time to explore the village and enjoy lunch.
Continue to your countryside accommodation and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 6 – Pienza and the Val d’Orcia Landscape
After breakfast, visit Pienza, known for its Renaissance town plan and local pecorino cheese.
Enjoy time to walk through the historic centre and take in views across Val d’Orcia. The
afternoon is free, with the option of a local tasting or simply relaxing back at your
accommodation.

Day 7 – Montalcino and Brunello Country
Visit the hill town of Montalcino, including time to explore the fortress and historic streets.
Continue into the surrounding vineyards for a Brunello-focused winery visit and tasting, with
insight into production methods and the local terroir. Return to your accommodation via
scenic back roads.
Overnight: Val d’Orcia countryside
Day 8 – Bagno Vignoni and Thermal Waters
Travel to Bagno Vignoni, a small village centred around its historic thermal pool. Spend time
walking through the village before enjoying access to a nearby thermal spa for a relaxing
bathing experience. The remainder of the day is free.
Overnight: Val d’Orcia countryside
Day 9 – A Day at Leisure in the Countryside
Enjoy a full day at leisure in the Val d’Orcia countryside. Optional experiences can be
arranged, including truffle hunting (seasonal), a cooking class with a local chef, or a guided
village walk. Alternatively, spend the day relaxing at your accommodation or exploring nearby
villages independently.

Day 10 – Val d’Orcia to the Chianti Hills
Depart Val d’Orcia and travel north towards the
region, following quieter countryside
routes. Upon arrival, check in to your countryside accommodation and enjoy the remainder of
the day at leisure.

Day 11 – Chianti Villages and Vineyards

Spend the day exploring smaller and visiting a family-run winery for a tasting
and light lunch. The afternoon is free to enjoy the landscape or facilities at your
accommodation before a final evening in the countryside.

Day 12 – Farewell Florence

After breakfast, transfer back to Florence for your onward flight or train. A short countryside
stop can be arranged en route, depending on departure timing.
