Start out in the hidden gem of Cortona. This town located in the Province of Arezzo offers a rich history dating back to the Etruscan era.
Elevated 600 meters above sea level, Cortona’s mediaval architecture is made even more picturesque by steep narrow streets situated on a hillside with panoramic views of the whole of the Valdichiana. A notable site being Lake Trasimeno, where the scene of Hannibal’s ambush of the Roman army took place in 217 BC.

Day 2 : Cortona Cooking Class with a Truffle Hunt

Cortona is famous for more than its beautiful architecture and rich history. It is a perfect breeding ground for the most devine truffles of Tuscany.
Come hunt (and eat!) the fresh aromatic truffles which are so versatile on bruschetta or shaved on top of a Tagliolini pasta dish. You will never try a truffle dish quite like it.

If you’ve had enough of cooking for a day, today let us treat you to a long three course meal in a quaint historic restaurant where everything right down to the bread and cheeses are made locally and with love.

Day 4 : Pisa with a tour of the Leaning Tower

Make your way to the city of Pisa, made famous by its iconic leaning tower. Bequeathed with a generous stash of baroque buildings and generous waterways, it is a perfect place to get lost and enjoy the local life.
Our local expert guide will collect you from your hotel in the center for an unforgettable walking tour, learning about the city’s history and ending in the famous Piazza del Duomo where lies the leaning tower. Learn about why it leans the way it does – and why it isn’t the only one – ending with a stop for a rewarding and delicious creamy gelato at a local gelateria favored by the locals.

Day 5 : Olive Oil and Cheese Tour in Pisa

Pisa has much more to offer than a pretty city and its fascinating leaning tower, surrounded by the alpenines and its vegetation, there is never a shortage of olive oil and artisenal cheese producers.
Our guide will take you to visit a local producer just outside the city center where you can sample the best artisenal cheeses and olive oil drizzled on crunchy home made bread. Yum!

Day 6: Live your Best Life in Livorno
Food tour featuring… seafood!
Head to Pisa’s arch rival, Livorno. These two cities have a rivalry which runs deep and long into its history and which extends beyond food and soccer. Come and decide for yourself which city is better!
After settling into your hotel in the centre, we will take you to some of the best local markets to sample the best street food with a heavy emphasis on freshly caught seafood. Wash it all down with a lemon sorbet and make sure you save room for dinner in a local family run restaurant.

Besides seafood, there are other reasons Livorno appeals to tourists, such as its pretty urban waterways, historic and contemporary museums, and vibrant nightlife. During summer Livorno is especially known for coming alive with beach parties. It is also safe and family friendly, with long stretches of beaches and plenty of establishments offering showers, sun lounges to hire and play areas for children.
